Kent Nason and Teresa MacInnes formed Sea to Sea Productions Ltd.  with a dream of making the films they felt were important. The husband and wife team enjoy working with young and old, providing an opportunity for people of all cultures and strata of society to share their stories. Together they have been the creative team on a dozen documentaries, which have been televised and featured at film festivals around the world.

Kent Nason, csc, began his filmmaking career at legendary Crawley Films in Ottawa in 1969. Kent joined the National Film Board of Canada in 1973 as a cinematographer and participated in the formation of an NFB film production studio in the Atlantic region. He has photographed over 200 hundred films in his career and has traveled all over the world shooting films that have been broadcast internationally and screened at major film festivals. Nominated often in several categories, he received a Gemini for best Cinematography in a Documentary Series in 1996.

Over the last 30 years, Teresa MacInnes’ films have tackled some of the most crucial social justice issues of our time. Her passion and balanced approach to producing and directing have engaged audiences around the world.

She has won numerous awards and her films have screened at Hot Docs, Vancouver International, Margaret Mead, IDA, Barcelona, NY and Thessaloniki. In 2014, her documentary Buying Sex was named one of the top ten feminist films streaming on US Netflix by MS Magazine. Her latest documentary, Mabel, recently won the prestigious 2017 Banff Rockie Award for best Social/Political Documentary. Teresa currently serves on the board of directors of Hot Docs and DOC Atlantic.
